Washington, D.C. | Anacostia
We are actively deploying our Neighborhood Investment and Transformation (NIT) Model in Anacostia, known as “East Of The River”. Historic negative perception of the neighborhood no longer matches its reality. A strong artist and creative presence have been blooming with businesses such as the Anacostia Arts Center, Anacostia Playhouse and We Act Radio. Selected by the District of Columbia in 2016, The Menkiti Group is in the process of delivering the historic MLK Gateway Project, Phases I and II. Once complete, MLK Gateway will operate as a thriving epicenter of technology and commerce, with anchor tenants, Enlightened Inc. and DC’s Department of Housing and Community Development.
Worcester, Massachusetts
Our Neighborhood Investment and Transformation (NIT) Model focuses on the downtown Worcester Theater District and Urban Revitalization Plan Area, the second-largest city in New England. An emerging creative class is allowing creation of placemaking entertainment and performance space. The Menkiti Group portfolio properties align an emerging corridor surrounding Worcester’s Main Street and are being repositioned to provide a thoughtful mix of residential, commercial and neighborhood-serving retail energizing Worcester’s downtown core.
